Seven Nights edition by Jess Michaels Literature Fiction eBooks

i have read a number of this author's works and the first few were ...definitely interesting. Interesting characters, situations, women with surprising depth and strength, men with interesting passions and again - surprising and gratifying depth.

And the whole women forced into a situation where she must face her passions and can't escape - ok...ok, i can see that as a viable turn on sexual release sort of deal....especially with the regency setting where women really didn't have rights or power. Ok. i can go with that. But ...in a modern setting? Not so ok. Gets way closer to abusive and creepy.

i get there is a romance novel stereotype of the "woman swept off her feet and 'forced' to succumb to an overwhelming passion that defies and transcends all reason and...everything else." But this... this is all but kidnapping, betrayal of friendship/trust, domination - in the not cool or sexy way, just in the flat out abusive jerk way - and ...plain creepy. And then...Our Heroine falls for it... which.. doesn't make her seem like a Strong Woman who has finally met her match/mate/equal...it makes her seem like a total moron who has no will power or...anything. Ugh. i am all for women who take control of their sexual needs.... this, however, is bordering on glorified abuse.

Hard to enjoy a romance novel when you're creeped out by Our Hero and disgusted by Our Heroine in the first 20% of the book.

i do not know if i can finish this one.

Seven Nights edition by Jess Michaels Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I have a couple of other Jess Michaels on my and liked them. This was just awful. The whole thing was off. Situation was laughable. Forced, like a first date. Why oh why does every single male have to be some sort of billionaire in so much erotic/romance? So sick of that. Both characters were dumb, so they will suit each other well. Wish them luck. Just could not finish. Save your money - this gamble is a bad bet.
Five years ago, Leah left her engagement ring on the table and walked out on her fiancé, Sean. Now, the past has come back to haunt Leah. She's penned an article on what she considers to be the false promise of fantasy resorts and subsequently finds herself stuck visiting one. But Escapades isn't just any fantasy resort - it's owned by her former fiancé. Sean asks for a chance to prove that he can fulfill her fantasies and with no means of escape, Leah agrees. What Leah comes to discover is that seven nights with Sean gives her only a taste of her most secret fantasy a lifetime with him.

Who wouldn't want to spend seven nights with a gorgeous man who makes fantasies come true? I sure wouldn't turn down Sean, but Jess Michaels doesn't make things so easy for her protagonists in Seven Nights. While Seven Nights is an incredibly sexy tale, what called to me was the heartbreak both Sean and Leah experience. Love isn't always enough, and these two are a case of that. Miscommunication and misunderstandings can ruin even the most loving of relationships and at times my heart ached for Leah and Sean. Ms. Michaels made it easy to become invested in their story and I desperately wanted these two to find their way back to one another, for keeps. Seven Nights is a scorchingly sensual story with characters you will care about, making it a wonderfully satisfying read.

I just finished Seven Nights and I loved it. I could not put it down and read it in one sitting. I just love second-chance at love stories and this one was really good.

Leah Prescott is a travel writer who has been sent to Escapades, a resort that specializes in creating romantic fantasies for couples. When she arrives she is surprised to see that the resorts owner is none other than her ex fiance Sean. Sean has spent the last five years since Leah left him trying to orchestrate a way to get her back. He finally got her to his island for a week and he's going to show her exactly what she's been missing and he's definitely not going to let her walk away from him again.

I just loved this couple together. They were just hot, hot, hot!

Leah is very passionate about her work and ever since she left Sean, has devoted herself to nothing else. She is still not over Sean, but she definitely doesn't want to get hurt by him again. Leah tries very hard not to succumb to the feelings Sean brings out in her.

From the first scene of the book we see that Sean is still head over heels for Leah and will try anything to win her back. He took the time to create all of these elaborate fantasies in a way to woo her. I really liked Sean, and I loved that he's just so honest about his feelings and motives. He wants Leah back, there's no question about it and he will try everything to make it happen.

Watching these two come together was explosive. Both are still harboring so many strong feelings from their past that everything is just so raw with emotions. I liked that it wasn't just sex between them, it was something so much more.
Corny story. Awful characters. Boring and predictable plot.tried to give it the benefit of the doubt but it really was awful. Do not recommend
This book is lousy. I can't even get through the first chapter. I read her other book, "An Introduction to Pleasure" and it wasn't bad. But this book...the writing's lousy, the characters are boring. There wasn't any sexual tension (which is what I'm looking for). Basically after page 2, the guy is all over the woman. At least have some build up! Oh well...I'm glad I only spent, what, $2.99 on this book.
It was a good romantic story....what woman doesnt want to be swept off her feet by a hot sexy man? If you like sexy romance books give this one a whirl....u wont be dissapointed.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I wish I could have been at this island. It sounded like the greatest place to be. Sean and Leah make the best couple even through the hard times. Their relationship is really hot and to die for. If you love romance don't miss out on reading this book. It's really a great one.
